Bathroom Mirrors Ideas
VENDOME SCONCES
This guest bathroom features Vendome sconces by Thomas O'Brien for Visual Comfort, a salvaged 1920s bathtub and pedestal sink, and a Burmese teak mirror within this Bellport, New York house.
DRIPPING CHANDELIER
Monique Lhuillier's bathroom in Bel Air showcases a custom-made light fixture by Foundry, white-oak cabinetry, and a photograph by George Hoyningen-Huene, custom frameless shower enclosures.
UNDERSTATED CEILING LIGHT
Understated lighting appeals to the minimum aesthetic of the bathroom in a modern Washington, D.C. house made by Darryl Carter. The dressing table hides drawers for storage.
VINTAGE ITALIAN CHANDELIER
The master bath of Alice Childress and Christopher Daniels's downtown Manhattan loft, designed with the assistance of Courtnay Daniels Haden, includes a vintage Italian chandelier, an antique freestanding marble bathtub, along with an inherited 18th-century painting. The custom made vanities are outfitted with Caesarstone countertops and Kohler sinks; the sink and tub fittings are by Barber Wilsons & Co.
19TH-CENTURY LANTERN
In the master bath in this Paris pied-à-terre, the circa-1760 rosewood-and-bronze writing desk and 18th-century gilded wood stool are French, the pendant light is made of a 19th-century lantern, the shower doors are all metal and the walls are sheathed in plaster that is striped.
GOLDEN SCONCES
The powder room within this Hudson River rancher mural is by Shantell Martin and the wainscoting is painted in Benjamin Moore's Midnight.
